Presenting the second painting in my three piece series of birch trees in autumn. Do you have birch trees in your yard?
In Newfoundland, birch trees turn a bright golden yellow color in the fall. This is due to the high concentration of carotenoids in the leaves of birch trees.
As the birch is a pioneer species this gives it a symbol of rebirth, new beginnings and growth. It’s a sacred tree within the mythology of the Celts and is thought to have very protective influences.
The original painting was created using Acrylic on a 16×20 canvas and is available as a reproduction gallery wrapped canvas print.
