The Art of Community
I love to paint. I love it when others take the time to look at my work and I certainly love it when they make a purchase decision. But being involved in the art world is more than just my brand. It’s about community and helping other artists when I can with their own artistic journey.
In July of 2026 I was interviewed by our local newspaper about a program I created to help beautify the public spaces within our business community and give artists the opportunity to have more exposure. The program currently has 18 participating business and 39 artists in a program called the CBS Community Gallery. I administer this program and each month I assign an artist to a business location and they get to display a piece of their artwork for that month. This is a win win for businesses and for artists.
As an an artist I want to enjoy what I do and I certainly want to be successful, but playing a role to help others is also important to me.
I don’t have a link for an online version of the article but I did include a high resolution image that you should be able to read.
