The process of painting Red Moon Rising was a bit of self-reflection and an emotional release for me. A red (blood) moon is rare and is normally seen during a total lunar eclipse. In some cultures it is seen as a threatening sign while others it was seen as a sign of renewal. With so much uncertainty in our world, this painting reflects my desire to embrace challenges and rise above all the noise to be my best version of me.
